Much like in 2018, we continued our journey into parenthood by welcoming Clara into our family on January 30. |

In April, we visited Shaunda's friends and family in Georgia during the last part of her maternity leave |

In September, we traveled to Washington for David's 20th high school reunion. |

After we built our last shed, Shaunda decided it was worth whatever cost for her to not have to build anything again, so this time we hired our friend John to help David. |

This timelapse doesn't convey how hot the summer was or how long it took to build. We never did figure out how to drink enough liquids to work a full day and not get dehydrated. |

We were blessed to both visit and be visited by many friends and family throughout the year

David and Caleb took a special trip to see friends in California. Here we are in front of an SR-71 at the Castle Air Museum. |

Shaunda has continued working at Clyde Snow & Sessions, where she was just made
a partner. She also took (and passed!) the California State Bar Exam in July. Don't worry (or get excited, depending where you are), we aren't moving to California. Shaunda's firm just likes to import legal work from California. David continues to freelance as a legal data researcher, work part time as the business manager of a new law firm, and run his small business
Docket Reminder. His research was recently featured in an
article by Pro Publica
about how payday lenders are using the courts to recreate debtors' prison. |
